New capability for pushing results to remote locations extends reach for Q4bis Business Intelligence Suite.

Q4bis, Inc. has formed a strategic alliance with Webalo, Inc. to provide mobile connectivity for its award-winning Q4bis Business Intelligence Suite, allowing users to view BI reports and retrievals on mobile devices like a PDA or Pocket PC. This new on-demand service powered by Webalo utilizes the Web and mobile communications. The result is a facility that permits organizations to publish reports and other information for immediate broadcast to users in the field who can quickly and easily view the reformatted information on a wide variety of mobile devices.

The new strategic relationship that Q4bis has established with Webalo permits it to extend the reach of its Q4bis BI Suite to remote operations for users traveling far from their offices. Q4bis is a provider of a complete, end-to-end BI suite using Microsoft’s tool set: SQL Server 2005, OLAP technology and Reporting Services.

Louis-Philippe Lalonde, Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for Q4bis Inc., said, “Our new alliance with Webalo permits us to extend the value of sophisticated database analyses to all members of the organization no matter where they are in their workday. Analysts and managers using Q4bis no longer require a traditional type of desktop computer, or even a laptop … the information is now as close as their cell phone thanks to Webalo’s User Proxy.”

Reports to be distributed are emailed to the hosting service, where they are reformatted for viewing on a variety of smart-phone mobile devices including Blackberry, Pocket PC and Treo. Users can easily view reports, dynamically customize them, drill down on data and create favorite screen formats.

BI is now a fast growing and critical application for the mobile workforce that requires instant access to information to provide a competitive edge through BI’s rapid responsiveness. Teams are more efficient through faster delegation, request, and approval processes. Also, it recovers downtime while employees are traveling.

"We are pleased to partner with Q4bis to help deliver mobile solutions to their customers," said Peter Price, president & CEO of Webalo (http://www.webalo.com). "This relationship supports our business strategy of signing up partners that can utilize our Mobile Dashboard to provide business intelligence directly to users’ mobile devices."

The Mobile Dashboard is the first service developed by Webalo that enables developers and system integrators to “put the user in charge” by dramatically simplifying and shortening the process of delivering high-functionality applications targeted specifically to individual user needs – wherever the user happens to be, and on whatever device the user chooses. This is accomplished with Webalo’s new capability called the User Proxy that provides the missing link between today’s Web services or applications and the entire spectrum of end-user devices – from desktops and laptops, to PDAs and cell phones.
