The Xacti HD1 records in beautiful HD and also takes still photos with its 5.1 megapixel sensor. It even provides MPEG-4 recordings that you can play on your ipod. It does so by recording onto SD cards instead of miniDV tapes. Each gigabyte holds about 21 minutes of HD footage. The camera weighs just 8.3 oz and will be available in September for $699.99. Since the camera is so small and light, users can take the camera with them to more places and make sure not to miss those special moments that can sneak up on you.
