With all of the hype surrounding the forthcoming Microsoft MP3 player, new devices by other makers sometimes get overlooked. PC Magazine does a nice review of the MusciGremlin MG-1000, a WiFi enabled MP3 player with an 8gb hard drive.

While not setting the world on fire, it does have some good features, the reviewer points out. But also at first glance, its limitations may keep it from achieving any sizeable market share in this very competitive field.
