Cingular to Charge for Old Cell Use

If you’re still kickin’ it old school brick style then Cingular is going to make you kick in an extra five – as in $5 per month to your cellular bill. This fee will be tacked on to anyone using a phone operating on an analog signal or TDMA technology. Cingular wants all their customers to be on their GSM network. Legislation says that cellular providers must provide analog service until the end of 2008, but it doesn’t say what they can or cannot charge for it. And Cingular is certainly kickin’ old school users in the pants.
