Isn’t Newton’s Third Law of Gravity that says for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. I’m not sure since I’m not a lawyer, but the deal the Bob Dylan and iTunes have to offer will be a great deal for all parties involved.

Reuters New Agency is reporting that Dylan’s new album "Modern Times" will be available online from iTunes starting August 29th. The iTunes version will included 5 bonus video tracks. But fans who pre-order the album will receive a special digital code that enables them to purchase tickets for his latest tour starting the following day. This will give them a full week’s head start before tickets go on sale on September 9th.

iTunes also announced a mammoth digital collection of Dylan music for $199. It will feature all of his studio albums as well as 42 rare cuts and a digital booklet. It will be available on August 29th as well.

So with this arrangement, Bob Dylan makes money, iTunes makes money, and the fans get a chance for some great music at a reasonable price. Like I say, for every ying there is a yang.
