Usually, when a piece of software reaches the "publc beta" stage, most (if not all) of the "bugs" are worked out. I like the opportunity to try beta's because you can get a feel for the changes and decide if it is the right time to upgrade. Some programs I never upgrade because I am satisfied with the current version but others I always choose to upgrade because I want the "latest and greatest" for that particular piece. I use TextMaker so much that it is one that I always tend to upgrade. I am not aware of anything like that … as a matter of fact, I have not heard of anyone ever doing that…although it would be nice.
