Ufff . Yak . Design is U G L Y . Is it great breakthrough putting dial on the corner edge of the device? It will be andvertently weeled all the time , messing all your navigation. And that huge waisted space on both sides of the screen. They could've been used for bigger screen.
Overall concept of mixing pda and pmp is a big mistake. After all, pda stands for personal assitant not an entertainer.
In the scale of 0 to 10 this device is -(minus) 1.

David, it's a tiny device. It's got a 2.8" screen. How much smaller do you want it to be? If this thing's got a HDD inside, it's a very interesting proposition IMO.

A HDD PMP with a brain? I'll take one instead of a "dumb" PMP.

Please let it have a real HDD.
  • I think its a good idea for HP, they are getting into the pmp game without really doing much.
  • I don't like it- not one bit. It's not going to be nice to write on considering the form factor is now landscape instead of portrait, the colours look like an old fashioned company trying to look hip "give it some orange sam" ... it's like a balding 50 year old man wearing a football top.

I'm all for more bang for your buck, but with a lot of these device taking it to the next step your stuck - is it a phone with email, and music, or is it an mp3 player that lets you write word documents?

For me, and Ipod or an MP3 player, and a hybrid phone/blackberry is as much as you can slim down the devices in your pocket... this new HP Ipaq just seems to be in a crisis as to what it is....
