Ever since I was a kid I yearned for my father’s attention. He was so busy as the owner of a furniture store, working many hours, that time with him was precious. I remember when I was about 10, 11, 12 years old that he always bowled on Saturday mornings in a league. He would often take me with him. First we’d go to Dunkin’ Donuts where I’d get a hot chocolate and a donut and he’d have coffee; then off to the bowling alley we’d go. This was the mid 70’s and bowling was very popular.
