Podcast Ready(TM) (http://www.podcastready.com), creator of the first truly portable podcast management software, has announced the release of myPodder(TM) version 1.6 beta. This latest release includes support for Apple(R) iPod(R) models, as well as all other universal mass storage-compliant MP3 players, bringing portable podcast subscription management to the broadest possible audience of podcast listeners and viewers. myPodder is available for free download at http://www.podcastready.com/download.php for Windows, Apple and U3.

Podcast Ready’s myPodder software provides complete podcast portability, unlike other podcast-enabling technologies that are available only on dedicated desktop computers. Users can plug a compatible device into any Internet-connected computer and instantly access myPodder to update, subscribe to and manage their favorite audio and video podcasts. Podcast Ready also provides a simple-to-use podcast directory and one-click podcast subscription. The myPodder software is available in English and German.

"With this latest release of myPodder, Podcast Ready takes another step forward in support of our mission to make subscribing to and enjoying podcasts simple," said Russell Holliman, founder and CEO of Podcast Ready. "By extending myPodder support to iPods and more devices, Podcast Ready continues to address a key challenge facing the podcasting community, bringing simple and useful podcast management to the broadest audience of listeners and viewers."

Making Podcasting Portable, Easy and Personal

Complete portability and ease of use are essential as podcasting moves from technology-savvy early adopters to a wider consumer audience. Existing podcast services only allow users to manage subscriptions on their computer desktops, tethering subscribers to one computer, and prohibiting the user from updating subscriptions when traveling, at work or via secondary personal computers. Podcast Ready’s software and services enhance the experience for podcast listeners by enabling them to:

– Use myPodder with any Internet-enabled computer running either Windows or OSX

– Manage subscriptions and downloaded podcasts within myPodder or from the website

– Search, select and share both audio and video podcasts easily through the http://www.podcastready.com directory

– Receive subscriptions on the fly with patent-pending one-click synchronization to device – without installing any software, users are able to subscribe to any podcast from any web page with a single click

Building on his interests in RSS feed technology and podcasting, Russell Holliman founded Podcast Ready in late 2005. Holliman was among the earliest to recognize the potential of podcasting and has focused on developing new software and services needed to take podcasting to true mass adoption.
