Some say yes, some say no. I couldn’t let go 100% personally. I watched Matt Miller (aka Palmsolo) do it at Mobius a couple years ago and he got by, but it sure looked painful!

Fellow Microsoft MVP, Jaap van Ekris, writes a nice article over at Modern Nomads asking this question.

“We conclude that, although technically it is possible, using a PocketPC as a replacement for a laptop is not feasible on the long run. PocketPC’s certainly have huge benefits over laptops, especially for people that travel a lot. Most benefitial factors are the reduced weight and faster availability. In our opinion however, a PocketPC cannot replace a laptop: PocketPC and TabletPC/Laptop are complimentary devices:  PDA’s are extentions of laptops, not replacements.”
