U-DOO, the First-Ever Talking Avatar Ringtone Builder and Mobile Social Networking Tool

Tired of the standard ringtones?  You might want to check out U-DOO.  It’s definitely different and appears to be a neat way to ‘build-your-own’ ringtones as well as using talking avatars.

A fun, creative and easy-to-use mobile social networking program, U-DOO (http://www.u-doo.com) was created by Wirefly.com in coordination with Oddcast, a developer and distributor of talking avatar technologies.

U-DOO allows users to email personalized avatar ringtones of their own voice or playful pre-recorded messages to their friends, and their friends can then download them to their phone where they can be set to "ring" whenever the associated friend calls. Recipients of a U-DOO email are also given the opportunity to create their own U-DOO character and ringtone. U-DOO also allows users to publish their talking avatar to their MySpace page. U-DOO’s email and MySpace options are free to end-users, and the wireless download option is offered as a subscription service through wireless carriers with a 60-day free trial and $4.99 per month for unlimited access thereafter. U-DOO supports downloads to most devices from major U.S. wireless carriers, including Verizon Wireless, Sprint, Cingular Wireless and T-Mobile.

U-DOO users start by selecting from one of over 20 base characters. The user then has the option of customizing facial features, accessorizing their character with various hairstyles, clothing, hats and jewelry, and then creating the custom audio track.
