Greenpeace have just published their end of year report for how environmentally sound mobile and pc makers are in 2006.

The two biggest criteria apparently are removal of hazardous substances, and recycling of their old products.

So if you want to earn extra points with Santa, you may want to remind him that at the top end of the table were Nokia and Dell… whilst at the bottom were Toshiba and (ironically) Apple.

Apple apparently didn’t score well on any of the criteria and didn’t seem to offer any signs progress either.

This may change by the next 3 monthly report, with the European WEEE directive forcing companies to address these issues.
