According to a report from Informa Telecoms and Media  and reported by The Register   The mobile entertainment market  will double over the next 5 years and be worth $38.1bn in 2011.

That’s 38.1 Billion Dollars.

38,100,000,000 Dollars  or an amazing large number of mp3 tracks,  videos, java games, and ringtones.

However according to PC Pro magazine spam is currently costing the US $17Bn and the world $50 Billion… so in order break even were going to have to spend a lot more on pda software for the 3.5 million PDAs sold in the last quarter  (Computer Weekly)

Which sounds like quite a lot until you compare it with the 30 million essential gadgets that us Brits bought last year
