It’s not really portable (at 300 lbs) but it is very cool or as my great and good friend OttRot would say: "SLICK".  Cyrus Farivar posted this item on Engadget last night and said:

If there’s anything that improves just about any party, it’s a jukebox. We’re not talking about those wannabe media players that call themselves jukeboxes — we’re talking the bona fide curvaceous red-blooded American ones. Well, grab your quarters, because Rock-Ola — one of the classic makers of such fine hardware — has now brought its esteemed design into the modern age, calling it the "Nostalgic Music Center."

Well, I do have to agree with OttRot, it is slick.  You load a CD, an Internet connection immediately locates and downloads all the CD information, the CD is automatically stored on the hard drive and your ready to go.

Want to know some of the unique features?  There is a list right after the jump … you will be impressed!

Unique Features:

  • 160GB of Storage can accommodate up to 2800 CDs "equivalent to 40,000 songs", depending on compression preference. This stored CD information becomes an on-screen catalog, allowing the music lover to browse a collection by Artist, Album, Genre, and more! Create and store multiple playlists with a theme – play a whole album or just a tune. Imagine all your favorite albums available for play at a finger touch!
  • Auto Magic Touchscreen controls for everything.
  • Double tap any song for a 7 second preview.
  • Touch a song and drag it to the play list.
  • Move any song to the top of the play list.
  • 5-band graphic equalizer has on-screen control and pre-sets for different music styles, and allows total listener control for optimal enjoyment.
  • The user-managed SoftFade™ engine delivers incredibly smooth crossfading and soft volume transitions in multiple modes.
  • Password protection options control access to volume, settings and playlists as desired.
  • Solid, hardwood and veneered cabinet with the distinctive 4-color spectrum bubble tubes and die-cast metal details.
  • Robust and reliable Rock-Ola electronics and exceptional quality craftsmanship inside and out.
