New major features in PhatPad 4

– One of the most notable new features in PhatPad 4.0 is support for typed text in addition to digital ink. Typed text can be inserted into the new or existing PhatPad documents in the form of text objects or labels.

- You can now protect your documents with an encryption that uses a 256-bit long security key and new proprietary encryption algorithms.

- You can use document templates to improve your productivity while working with PhatPad. Templates can be created from practically any new or existing PhatPad document.

 - PhatPad 4 works directly with the digital pen software to provide smoothest inking possible on Tablet PCs.

- User Interface of the desktop portion has been redesigned to improve user’s experience with the application. PhatPad 4 also includes 7 pre-defined UI themes.

- PhatPad 4 now fully supports Windows Vista and can be used with any Windows Vista Edition on x86 and x64 PCs.

- Improved integrating with handwriting recognition software now allows in-place conversion of handwriting to digital text. For handwriting recognition you can use CalliGrapher on Pocket PC and PenOffice or Microsoft handwriting recognition engine on Tablet PC.
Note: handwriting recognition software is not included with PhatPad.

- PhatPad 4 includes multilingual spell checker with dictionaries for 10 Western European languages (Danish, Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish and Swedish) for Tablet PCs.
Note: on the Pocket PC, PhatPad is compatible with the PhatSpell application (sold separately).
