The hot story in the news recently revolved around the 14 year old boy missing for 4 years and recently found in the home of a pizza delivery man. In fact, a second boy was found alive as well. This story had a happy ending, but parents are reluctant to lose sight of their children. In fact, my wife and I recently took our kids, ages 8, 6 and 3 to a mall. While we were occupied with the 8 and 3 year olds, the 6 year old wandered off. This happened in seconds. We looked up and she was gone in the blink of an eye. We panicked and looked everywhere. We were about to have the mall security call a "Code Adam", where they shut the whole thing down, when a lady approached us and asked if this was our child. It seems the middle child wanted to ride the train in the mall.

The GTX GPS Xplorer Smart Shoes help combat this fear. You define a "safe" area around your house or school. When your child wanders away from that area, an SMS signal is sent to your phone.

The shoes last several days on one charge. Better make sure they’re powered when you need them most.
