cingularservice.jpg Mobileburn posted some very interesting information from JD Powers and Associates 5th semi-annual customer care study on all of the US Cell Phone Carriers. Most notable to me is the complete absence of Cingular in their top three! 5 time Heavyweight Champion T-Mobile comes in first with 107 points, followed by Verizon’s "Can you hear me now?" coming in second with 101 points, and right behind is Alltel with 99 points. Congrats to T-Mobile for a fifth straight Win!

Some other interesting information from the article at Mobileburn is:

  • More than half of all wireless users have needed to contact their wireless customer service department this past year
  • 73% have done so by telephone, 24% by dropping in at a local store, and 3% by email or Internet
  • Average telephone hold time was 3.58 minutes, average wait time for a retail store was 8 minutes
  • More than 42% of customers contacted their provider with a billing issue, and 55% were associated with inaccurate charges

Let’s hope "The New AT&T" makes some significant improvements!

Thanks Mobileburn for a great article!
