Mobility Site’s Huseyin Yedipinar lays down a very detailed review of the i-mate SPL Smartphone. For the cross over crowd that are coming to Windows Mobile from a regular old feature phone, this thing is a super entry to the T9 input smartphone world. If you have already gotten used to a qwerty keyboard or touchscreen, this phone might fall short for you. Did it fall short for Huseyin Yedipinar?

"The phone itself is a beauty. It surely covers every little corner that makes a phone true piece of communication tool with WM5 you cannot go wrong on compatibility and expendability. Motorola or Nokia users may have difficulty adjusting to the operating system, but once you get the hang of it, is very handy. Price and limitation of thinness might be the only downsides of this phone. I would not pay more than I paid for my SDA, but I would have hard time deciding on which one to get if they were at same price."
