It’s amazing what difference a day can make.. This morning I woke up in a country, that according to a survey, couldn’t even program a video recorder (you do remember video recorders don’t you?) According to the survey which has something to do with paypal,

Over 50% of those surveyed thought that they could turn their back on technology because tech terms and new innovations baffle them.
and one in three of those surveyed still have trouble setting the video recorder, while 77% feel that they don’t know how to set a DVR.

Paypal even used it as an excuse to plug their new site , www.whatisyourtq.com, to see if you could cope in the modern world. Source: Pocket Lint

By the time I’d had lunch however I’d been transported into a technological Utopia, where

Mobile phone users in the UK accessed the internet via their handsets about 15.9 million times throughout December 2006, says the Mobile Data Association.

which is up 1 million unique sessions on the previous record set the month before… oh and the Mobile Data Association represents O2, Orange, T-Mobile and Vodafone. Source BBC

So what is it that had changed the country, while I was eating a Bacon Sandwich? Well today was the launch of the new PC vs Mac campaign staring Mitchell and Webb. Which are clearly better than the long running American versions. Mitchell and Webb are perhaps best know for Peep Show. And those are clearly the characters used in the campaign. Webb (or Mac in the adverts)  plays Jez who is

A wannabe musician, Jez is a ‘work-shy freeloader’ who is naïve, childish and has a tendency to easily fall in love. Seemingly oblivious to the outside world, he considers himself very talented and attractive. He tends to be more sociable than Mark, but sometimes he can be quite malicious and hurtful when he wants to be, saying Mark does "posh spazzy things" and makes references and jeers to his "Weird nuts."
