This is a note from Microsoft PR showing the highlights of what cool Windows Mobile things we have coming up and recently announced. It was so well written, I decided to just hit print!!!

Kicking off the New Year in style, Windows Mobile not only looks back over another year of continued momentum, but also celebrates its fifth birthday in 2007. Windows Mobile has reached some terrific milestones – Windows Mobile phones are available from every major mobile operator worldwide (with several shipping a series), more than 140 different phone designs available worldwide, and applications designed for every business and lifestyle (more than 18,000 and counting).

  • This week at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES,) we’re showcasing new devices as well as services and solutions that help people stay connected to the information they care about. Whether that’s enjoying entertainment such as music and TV or getting email and calendar information from Outlook Mobile, Windows Mobile phones help people have the mobile computing experience they choose.
  • Cingular introduces the Palm Treo 750, the first GSM Windows Mobile Treo available in the U.S.
  • i-mate, a specialist in Windows Mobile powered devices, launches the JAQ3 and PDAL Wi-Fi smartphones in the U.S.
  • Just on the heels of launching the new Pharos Traveler GPS Phone 600 (with Ostia Smart Navigator), Pharos is honored with three Design and Engineering Innovations Awards at CES for GPS technologies, including the Traveler and technologies used in Microsoft Streets and Trips.
  • A growing number of mobile operators are offering premium entertainment services for Windows Mobile such as Cingular Wireless Video Share, Cingular Music and MobiRadio through Cingular
  • And in the week leading up to CES, Sprint introduced a new pearlized gray MOTO Q, with availability in business sales channels later this month, and all channels by mid-February

We’re excited by the continued growth of the smartphone industry and Windows Mobile, bringing more and more opportunities for customers to have the mobile computing experience they choose. From staying in touch with friends and family to staying organized with Outlook Mobile and accessing entertainment like music, movies and photos, people can do more with a Windows Mobile powered phone.
