070116_lg_iphone.jpg Could it be? We already know that Apple is under fire for the use of the iPhone name, which is trademarked to Cisco. Now Woo-Young Kwak, head of LG Mobile Research and Developement at LG, is making a bold move and one that, in my opinion needed to be made, by making this statement at 3GSM.

"We consider that Apple copycat the Prada phone after the design was unveiled when it was presented in the iF Design Award and won the prize in September 2006. We take that to mean ‘Apple stole our idea."

If the iPhone launches and becomes a success, will anyone remember that the LG Prada was shown months earlier? No, Apple fanboys will have the world screaming that LG lifted their idea.

Apple sure has a lot of laundry to clean before it launches this phone.
