… for Online Music Lockers From MP3tunes

Logitech today announced that the Logitech Squeezebox wireless music player will support the online MP3tunes Music Locker, which allows people to store their digital music files on the Web. The Logitech Squeezebox plays a wide variety of digital music files, including uncompressed and lossless formats across a true 802.11g wireless network connection, and is an affordable way that can deliver music into every room of the home. Support for personal MP3tunes Music Lockers gives Squeezebox owners anytime access to their digital music from a centralized library, even when their PC is turned off.

“Music lovers want to enjoy their music at any time without the hassle of turning on a computer,” said Robin Selden, vice president of the Logitech Streaming Media Systems business unit. “Connecting our Squeezebox to the MP3tunes Music Locker lets people easily store and access their music anywhere, anytime. The music locker set up is easy, and Squeezebox owners don’t need to run their computer to enjoy their music.”

“Our integration with the Logitech Squeezebox is a vital development for the MP3tunes vision of ‘Your Music Everywhere,’” said Emily Richards, president of MP3tunes. “The MP3tunes Locker, paired with the Squeezebox, takes people’s digital music collections beyond the PC and right into their living rooms.”

To enjoy this feature, Squeezebox owners can create and activate their premium MP3tunes Music Lockers directly from their SqueezeNetwork account. Like the Squeezebox, online music lockers from MP3tunes are compatible with most music file formats including .MP3, .WMA (Windows Media), .AAC (iTunes) and .OGG. With the Oboe Sync software from MP3tunes, people can easily upload music from their computer to their personal online locker, and there are no limits for listening or downloading.

After a two-month free trial period, the premium MP3tunes Music Locker is available for $39.95 per year, including unlimited storage, bandwidth and device access. SqueezeNetwork support for MP3tunes Music Lockers is expected to be available beginning April 25, 2007. Additional information can be found at www.slimdevices.com/mp3tunes.
