There’s a new bit of mobile technology in my home city of Liverpool, and I’m not talking about  the citywide wireless network that should be live later this year.

No It’s the new Robo-hawk Pigeon buster that the City council are deploying to stop the pigeon menace. Costing £1800 each (plus accessories) from  Robop these birds will apparently save the city council part of the £180,000 that these flying rats cost the city… It’s a cunning plan, but surely even the daftest of pigeons isn’t going to be fooled by a falcon that’s too lazy to fly.

All together now.

So, Stop The Pigeon, Stop The Pigeon,
Stop The Pigeon, Stop The Pigeon,
Stop The Pigeon, Stop The Pigeon
Stop that Pigeon How ?
Nab him – jab him – tab him – grab him,
Stop that pigeon now!
