A few days ago I commented about the Celio Redfly adding support for BlackBerrys. I came across that bit of information first while researching to purchase a Celio RedFly myself and then while I’ve been …

One word… Nope. I got an email and a comment on Youtube asking if the 755p’s battery would fit in the Treo 750. Since there is a 400mah difference and the chassis of both appear to be almost identical, this is a good question and would be a great replacement battery option.

The Treo 750’s stock batter is 1200mah and the 755p’s is 1600mah and they both are 3.7v, so I decided to try. It works, the pins line up, the unit powers on, but you can’t put the cover on.  I am sure someone could come up with some sort of hack to the casing to allow this, but I don’t wanna damage my devices. The 755P battery is a bit thicker. The Simm card slot and circuitry makes the depth of the battery compartment more shallow than the 755p.

There isn’t much overlap, but it’s enough to prevent the battery cover from closing.
