Psion Teklogix has introduced the second generation of its Workabout Pro line of rugged industrial handheld computers. The new devices feature a faster processor and full VGA display, and are available with either Windows CE 5.0 or Windows Mobile 6.0 Classic or Professional editions, according to the company.

The new Workabouts are available in two forms; the Pro C has a 52-key alphanumeric keypad, while the Pro S features a 25-key numeric keypad. They support a variety of field installable expansion modules, including scanners, imagers, RFID modules, Wireless LAN (WLAN), and Wireless WAN (WWAN) radios. Psion says the units are also compatible with expansion modules from the first generation Workabouts.
