Some Good (and Bad) News for Sierra Fans

Mauricio Freitas from  Geekzone  had some good news for those that use the Sierra Wireless Aircard 580 … there is support for Windows Vista! 

Mauricio said:

If you are connected to Telecom New Zealand (or other operators) and using a Sierra Wireless Aircard 580 to plug into its CDMA EVDO network, here is good news: you can now download Windows Vista drivers for Aircard 580 with support for 32 bit and 64 bit.

So what was the Bad news?   It looks like Sierra has decided that it is the End of Life for this card.  You can read the Sierra statement here.
