AT&T customers seeing sudden boost in EDGE speeds?

AT&T is shutting down their older cellular systems and launching the EDGE iPhone at about the same time… Coincidence or marketing??

 

My testing is limited, but I have observed some of this apparent increase, but not perhaps as is being reported
