palm-lg If you are a Treo Lover (and if your not you should be) then get your use out of your old device because its days are numbered.  Why you say?  Because a kick ass device is about to appear near the end of the year on the Sprint Network.  The 800W has some pretty impressive specs.  Jason Chen reported that they had a source telling them that “lots and lots of improvements for Sprint users over what they can get right now with the 700wx, including EV-DO REV A., Windows Mobile 6, a 320×320 display (now supported on WM6), 256MB flash, 128MB RAM, a 1.3-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, and an expansion slot”.

With all the devices I have had the opportunity to use, the Palm Treo has become my device of choice because of its reliability, form factor and battery life.  I have had No issues with the 750 from Cingular and the 700W from Verizon.  I was considering a 700WX but with the 800W coming and with the memory it might well be worth waiting for.  What do I wish they would do?  Change the camera!  1.3 megapixel is just so passe.  Of course a HUGE advantage with the Palm platform is the ability to use 3rd party applications ….

  • I agree Hyedipin! It appears it will be a power device!
  • I love this. Great news.. It might be the reason for switching to Sprint.. Although I would still prefer if T-Mo or VZ had this, anyway. Thanks for the news.
