I don’t think Sony is worried about the iPhone nor just any other new device that is appearing.  They have been pumping out the devices one after another … and they all look good.  Sam Chan from MobileBurn.com attended the  Sony Ericsson W960 product launch in Hong Kong and got a few pictures that you can see if you click here.

w960 Features of the W960 include:

  • Navigate using touchscreen display
  • Surf the web using 3G or integrated Wi-Fi
  • PC to phone transfer of 1GB in less than 3 minutes
  • 8GB of memory
  • Video playback at 30 fps
  • 2.6 inch 240 x 320 – 262K color touch sensitive display
  • 3.2 megapixel digital camera  with auto focus
  • Support for Media Manager PRO
  • TrackID music recognition software
  • Supports UMTS 2100-GSM/GPRS 900/1800/1900
  • Available in vinyl black in Q4 of this year
  • Symbian OS
  • Measures 109 x 55 x 16 mm and weighs 119 grams

530And of course, there is another …. The K530

Akihabaranews reports that this one is equipped with 3G, Sony Ericsson’s K530 handset features support for the new GPS Enabler HGE-100.

The Sony Ericsson K530 is the first phone to the GPS Enabler HGE-100, which plugs into your phone and acts as your own GPS system.

Besides the GPS Enabler, the Sony Ericsson K530 features a 2-megapixel camera, a vivid 2-inch screen, and support for M2 memory. The company claims you can get nine hours of GSM talk time and three hours of UMTS talk time.

If the above specs aren’t enough to warrant a purchase, the phone also sports Bluetooth stereo, an MP3 player, and FM radio.

Look for the phone and the GPS Enabler to hit in the third quarter.
