asus In order to furnish users with the ability to easily setup and configure wireless networks, ASUS has released the new WL-520gU Wireless Router. Built-in Windows Vista Wireless support with a user-friendly and secure setup adds to the WL-520gU’s appeal and provides fast, efficient wireless LAN setup.

  • Simple and Secure Setup – Users just need to click the EZSetup button on the back of the router, launch the EZSetup Wizard from the PC and click the EZSetup icon, and the Wizard will automatically search and connect with the WL-520gU. Without reading the manual or even knowing much about routers, users can “Press & Click” to setup and protect their Wi-Fi network environment by utilizing the WL-520gU and its inherent security standards (WEP, WPA, WPA2).
  • Supporting Windows’ “Connect Now” Feature – The WL-520gU works perfectly with Microsoft Vista. Working via the Windows Connect Now (WCN) feature, the WL-520gU can enable any PC running the Vista operating system to associate and join the router’s Wi-Fi network easily and securely. It also supports WCN-NET, WCN-UFD, LLTD: Topology Map, and LLTD: QoSExtention and users can even add an Xbox Live into the network via a USB flash disk.
  • EZQoS – Bandwidth On Demand (BOD) – The WL-520gU is also able to prioritize your needs for Internet bandwidth. With Bandwidth on Demand, users can easily allocate bandwidth according to their individual needs by simply clicking on the buttons, such as voice or gaming, and assign more or less bandwidth to streamline multiple network activities (FTP, Games, P2P) running simultaneously.
  • Share Printing Services Wirelessly – Another useful feature of the WL-520gU is the built-in printer server function called EZPrint_Share. This feature allows users to “Plug-N-Share” by connecting USB printers into the WL-520gU, and sharing those printers WITH everyone without the need to pay extra costs for the purchase of a printer server. The WL-520gU supports major brands such as Canon, HP, Epson, and so on – providing users with easy wireless printer server sharing
