ktc_logo_hm Kingston Technology Company announced today it is working with eMusic to launch a special 1GB microSD card package with a USB reader and 10 free preloaded songs. Also included is an eMusic trial subscription offer for 50 additional free MP3 music tracks for mobile consumers.

“With the Kingston eMusic preloaded card/reader combo, consumers with MP3-enabled phones, MP3 players, or other devices using microSD expansion memory have an opportunity to enjoy full music mobility-instantly,” said Wendy Lecot, Flash memory marketing manager, Kingston. “The combined convenience of the USB reader and storage capacity of the microSD card lets users easily search eMusic, download and copy to the memory card and take their tunes with them,” added Lecot. “This practice, known as ’side-loading,’ streamlines how users acquire music and offers greater flexibility for enjoying music files on any device that accepts microSD cards.”

“eMusic provides all of its tracks in the universally compatible MP3 format that allows for easy transfer to any PC, digital device, MP3-enabled mobile phone or expansion memory card. Once consumers experience the Kingston eMusic microSD card they can sign up for a free eMusic trial, explore our catalogue of 2.5 million tracks and get 50 free music downloads to keep just for
checking it out,” said Greg Hohman, Vice President of Business Development and Emerging Markets, eMusic.

(FCR-MRB+SDC/1GB-MEC) has an MSRP of $19.99 and is available initially from Buy.com and mobile/ wireless distributors.
