Synaptics, a leading developer of interface solutions for mobile computing, communications and entertainment devices, today announced that its MobileTouch capacitive sensing technology has been chosen for the Huawei U550 mobile flip phone.

The backlit three-button MobileTouch interface solution provides MP3 player controls on the exterior of the Huawei U550 mobile flip phone. These intuitive interface controls allow users to play, pause, fast forward and rewind their music. Users can enjoy the richness of the multimedia experience and easily manipulate controls on the go. Synaptics’ capacitive sensors are mounted beneath the plastic of the phone, making them well suited to the mobile phone environment where slim design and durability are essential.
