Yeah, so can your iPhone make calls underwater?

water Well, maybe not and who cares!  But evidently there is a segment of the population that spend enough time in or at the the water that it does matter. Akihabara News .com had an item today showing the  FOMA F704i that does let you make your calls under water! Fujitsu thinks there is a market for those folks that spend serious time at the beach so they have introduced the FOMA F704i.

The FOMA F704i features the FOMA World Ring (use it worldwide), a 1.3MPx camera, the DCMX ID (bank recognition), MP3 player, WMA, Napster to Go…this baby is completely waterproof but don’t go scuba diving…the maximum depth is 3 metres but you can now officially take a shower or go to the swimming pool with your cellphone.
