“Today I am in awe of Apple Support,” he wrote. “This may not be true for everyone, but [I] got an unsolicited call at my office from Apple Support on this issue and they were helpful and we put together a return on the phone. “

iPhone2 The AppleInsider had an article discussing iPhone users that are receiving help from Apple after reporting that their handsets have permanently lost responsiveness to touch input across portions of the screen.  It is an interesting story not only because there is a serious issue of the touch screen losing it’s ability to work properly but more importantly it highlighted that Apple READS comments of posts and forums.

I was impressed with the unsolicited call the above user got from Apple.  How many times have you ever heard of a company calling regarding an issue they noted from your comments …. I wonder how they got his number?  Do you think HP would do that?

So this is the second major issue to have an effect on the iPhone since it launch.  Apple is clearly being pro-active in fixing the issues so customers are not without a device … kudos to Apple!
