i-mate-ultimateMatt Miller, Mobile Gadgeteer, heard the rumors of the i-mate canceling three of the five Ultimate series models….. and checked with his source at i-mate and found out it is NOT true!

i-mate announced several new devices that would be coming in 2007 back in February and many sites are now reporting that three of the five models may have been canceled. I just confirmed with my i-mate source that this news is not true, was based on a resellers information, and that there are actually six Ultimate devices scheduled for release. The current plan is to launch 4 at GITEX and the other 2 in early 2008. There was no news on pricing or availability so we will still have to wait to see when and where these devices show up.

Goes to show you….don’t believe everything you read…. Thanks Matt!
