iPhone News : Update / Coming to Europe / Unlocked?
This post was published 2 years 2 months 18 days ago which may make its actuality or expire date not be valid anymore. This site is not responsible for any misunderstanding.Since I am trying to Cut back on the iPhone news, I will report these 3 developments in a digest form. Susan already reported on the iPhone “Bug Fix” update though.
Orange, O2, and T-Mobile agree to iPhone revenue deals
“According to FinancialTimes, “Apple has succeeded in committing European mobile phone operators that want exclusively to sell its new iPhone to share parts of their revenues with the technology group.” The contract, which was signed by T-Mobile Germany, Orange, and O2, “requires that the operators hand over to Apple ten-percent of the revenues made from calls and data transfers by customers over iPhones” — the same chunk required of those wanting to slap that Made for iPod logo on their accessories.”
Looks like folks over in Europe will have choice?
iPhone Unlocked… But you have to wait a week to find out how!
Quite a few people were thanked in this video below, but Geohot (pictured in video), has the enjoyable pleasure of demonstrating the iPhone working on t-mobile. Looks promising, but right now it’s a hardware unlock, but he mentions that they hope to have it down to a software unlock soon. Details next week.
Click the title for Susan’s Post on the subject, but it’s nothing special, just a bug fix release. It’s a good thing, but let’s see some new stuff already. :)
