vodafone the::unwired got what appears to be the Vodafone 920 Windows Mobile Smartphone from a photo archive.  Arne indicated that they had no information other than the fact that it is a Windows Mobile Standard smartphone and he thought it was gorgeous but I guess my title says what my first impression was … oh well, maybe with more (and better) pictures, its appearance will change….

What was that old saying?  Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder….

It’s clear that it is a UMTS (most likely HSDPA) device because it also features a front facing camera (and most of Vodafone’s new handset are UMTS devices nowadays) but that’s it what I was able to figure out so far.

UPDATE: Sources close to Vodafone Germany told the::unwired, that the Vodafone 920 is manufactured by HTC (code name yet unknown) and that the 920 features quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE as well as triband UMTS and HSDPA (up to 3.6 Mbps) and Bluetooth. WiFi wasn’t yet confirmed. Furthermore, the Vodafone 920 is said to feature a 2 megapixel camera on the back and a VGA camera on the front.
