With the opening of baseball’s postseason just seven days away, MLB.com, the official website of Major League Baseball, unveiled its lineup of unparalleled mobile offerings that provides baseball fans unprecedented mobile access to the most highly-anticipated month on the sport’s calendar anytime, anywhere and on any device.

Among the services offered to fans are:

• Text Message Alerts — Provides fans customizable access to up-to-the- minute postseason information, including every lead change in every postseason game. Fans can subscribe on their mobile device by texting ”GET PLAYOFFS” to 65246.
• Gameday Audio — Listen to every postseason game in its entirety live on a cell phone. Fans can also choose either the home or away broadcasters with no blackout restrictions.
• Video — Daily on-demand video clips from all postseason games can be viewed on a video-enabled cell phone. Fans can replay the most dramatic moments through short game recaps and highlight reels.
• Gameday — Fans can access every postseason game live at a pitch-by-pitch level with MLB.com’s Gameday application. This allows them to watch live stats, pitch location, box score and play-by-play.
• MLB 2007 — This arcade-style video game is the only mobile game to feature MLB teams and players and allows fans to bat, pitch, field and manage their favorite team as they replay any regular or postseason game with actual game data.
• MLB.com’s Mobile Web site — MLB.com’s mobile site is among the most popular mobile destinations and provides fans streamlined access to the latest scores, standings, statistics and team news from all 30 clubs. BlackBerry users can download an MLB.com icon to their BlackBerry smartphone, allowing immediate access with a single click. The icon can be downloaded for free by visiting http://www.mlb.com from any BlackBerry smartphone.
