Today we passed a massive milestone that deserves a mention and reflection! Member wealthmade put us over 200,000 users today. This was spotted by Zaniax. I knew it was coming, but it came faster than I expected.
Congrats Aximsite/Mobilitysite!
Although 85% of these 200,000 members are from Aximsite, we still shouldn’t discount the work of Mobilitysite. Mobilitysite used to be iPaqHQ and then when HP started drifting out of the PDA arena, we moved focus to Mobility.
A look into the numbers. wealthmade rolled us to the visable count of 200,000 members, but member number 201674. This is because we have banned or deleted 1674 accounts over the years. Up until 2004, I would purge inactive members on occasion. I stopped doing this because of the time it took and how it brought the servers to their knees when the process was running.
Out of 200,000 members, a good portion of them are no doubt inactive. Folks come to these type sites, learn what is needed to fix their problem and move on. Some stay for the community enviorment and to help others out. This community is one that I will cherish forever. We have top notch moderators, reviewers, and news editors as well as the best members money can buy. Huh? You didn’t get that check? Wait a little longer. It is truely amazing how many emails a month I get from older members that had not logged in for over a year wanting to know their login details.
Thanks for everything everyone!!!!
