So what’s the advantage?  You don’t have to think about recharging (as long as there is sun).  So how long does it work with no sun?  It is rated to provide a continuous talk time of up to 15 hours and standby time of up to 600 hours on a full charge.  Can you charge it if there is no sun?  In addition to the solar power panel at the back, you can charge via a mini USB port.
