Try the following until you hit one that works.

1. Check the volume level (that obviously won't affect the camera).
2. Power off and on.
3. Soft reset.
4. Hard reset.
5. Update/upgrade the OS (if possible)
6. Take it to AT&T for repair.

Note that #4, #5 and possibly #6 will mean you have to reinstall everything, so make sure you have a backup.

i have one of these phones but i am not getting anything out of it no sound no camera.how do i go about fixing it

This is a comment as much as it is a question. I've had this 8925 for almost 3 years now. I love it and all that it enables me to do – away from my home desk top. However, I've been noticing a discernible DIFFERENCE IN THE QUALITY OF THE PICTURES I have recently taken. They are decidedly not as clear as once were! Does anyone know how or where or whom I can contact so I can address this recent development? I would hate to relinquish my 8925 and the promotional plan it carries with AT&T to get something else!

Installation instructions:

1) If you already have TCPMP installed, uninstall it now.
2) Install this version of TCPMP, linked below:

PPC version
Smartphone version

3) Install FlashVideoBundle.CAB. This MUST be installed in the same location as TCPMP (Device or Storage Card)
4) Soft-reset
5) Go to Start Menu->Programs->Video Sites and start streaming!

Wow dude that’s a lot of questions, but here goes;

Mini USB port for charge/sync (can’t be used for connecting devices such as external hdd).

The Micro SD card is inserted at the bottom of the device and is right beside the mini usb connector.

Camera doesn’t have a flash, but is auto focus.

No other ports other than the mini usb

Neither the RAM nor the ROM are expandable.

You just have to uninstall the programs one by one.

The phone only runs Windows Mobile Applications, so most of those u will download, they will be installed through Microsoft Active Sync.

Hope that helped you out and you weren’t just trying to be “smart” with all those questions.

Can you provide information regarding what ports are available on this item? No matter what web site I go to some specs, I fail to anything that detail the various ports.

For example is there a USB port? Is there a video out or in port? Is there a headset plug in port? Where is the memory card inserted? Can the bluetooth be paired with an auxilary keyboard and mouse? Does the 3mp camera come with a flash? What other ports are available? Is the ram expandable? If so, to what extent? How do you go about deleting unwanted preloaded software? How do you go about adding software from a standard CD?

I think I’ll stop for now but I will be very gratful for your reply.

The tilt is a wonderful phone,I got rid of most at&t software and have put on many different softwares on it.I have used softwae from xda developers,win4 mobile,pocket emu,pocketables,and the tilt website.I have installed opera,htc audio manager,home plugin,cube and touchflo,kaiser tweak,live search ,ptt fix,Taskmanager,wizard retouch dialer,vista hide battery,hhc, wisebar and yahoo go.I live in Toronto Canada and my wife and have 1 tilt each.Putting on the software was easy and difficult I had to clear the storage many times b4 it took hold onto the tilt.Now the phone looks fantastic.So for the people that have this phone please appreciate it.In toronto it’s expensive but my service provider is excellent and I have unlimited data plan. I LOVE MY TILT.

I only buy Sandisk but I make suree I get a good deal on them as they are a little more expensive than some lower grade brands. I am running an 8Gig only because I couldn’t find anything bigger at the time. 8Gig seems to be alright. I will probably try to stuff it full with a 32Gb one when they are available and cheaper from Sandisk. Make sure they are microSDHC.

It supports these formats: microSD, microSDHC, TransFlash, SDIO
Supports memory cards with capacity of up to 32GB

Any body can explain which memory card i need buy? i saw in shops many 4Gb and i didnt saw any for 32 Gb, lol, how they know it will be work if it is not selling yet?

i got it at&t 8925 kaiser yesterday
i am sad
sim card is lock even that phone was bought without contract, its mean now i need contact to at&t and explain situation

ok, what i dont like
i dont like quiet sound and how music is playing, not nice, minus from me
i dont like little memory, only near 120 mb storage, and there is flash suit for 256 mb only, and what if i will buy 4 GB – will it’s working good? Who knows?
i dont like that they didnt put headphones
i dont like black design, very big and very wide and heavy for girl’d hand
i dont like how camera works, very slowly and bad pics
i havent front camera, anybody can explain WHY if price was full? why they didnt put it for me? i am crying
i dont like keyboard, hard to type, because keys is separatied and instead of 1 letter you touch 2 keys, maybe i’ll learn how do it correct, now is not comfortable
so guys, it is my first impression, i was expected much more from this toy, much more, this phone is not perfect

what about me, i will be wait for Sony Xeria, i think that it must be much better
i am feeling disappointment after 1 day

and here in Belarus internet and traffic is expansive, so mobile TV, GPRS and sirfing i will be using as low-activity user

I got my tilt june 12.the best phone i’ve ever had..great for work,and to show off.lol,but I have 1 problem wit it playing youtube videos..it says it won’t support the media file ??anyone know about this?

I might mention also that I purchased this on March 15th and called AT&T within a couple days and asked them to cancel the contract. They also waived the activation fee which is usually possible if you cancel within 30 days. They said that all I had to do was send the phone back and if I didn’t they would charge me $175 for the phone. So I kept it. It was a lot of work but worth it to me to be w/o contract.
