I got my hands on the Sandisk 8GB MicroSDHC Card this weekend at the Sandisk Block Party and decided to run a few tests on it. Vincent Nguyen over at Slashgear did a test on a few phones to test the compatibility of the new Sandisk 8GB MicroSDHC Card. He basicly found that some were seeing the 8GB and some were only seeing 4GB.

He tested the following:

  • Nokia N95 – Pass
  • HTC Touch – Pass
  • Blackberry 8310 – Pass
  • Motorola RAZR2 – 4GB out of 8GB
  • Samsung F700v – 4GB out of 8GB
  • Vodafone Croix – 4GB out of 8GB

Following up on this, I ran some tests on some of the phones I have here to test. I used a Micro to Mini adapter for the Advantage and the Palm Treo 750. Read on for the results.

8gbfusion
HTC Fusion (Libra) – Pass

8gbN95
Nokia N95 – Pass

8gbTILT

AT&T Tilt – Pass

8gbzen
Creative Zen – Pass (with a Sandisk Micro to SD Adapter)

8gbAdvantage
HTC Advantage – Pass! I used a Micro to Mini adapter here. 8gb Microdrive + 8gb Sandisk Card = WOW!!!!

8gbTreo750
Palm Treo 750 (US Version without WM6) – FAIL. Can’t even see the card.
