Yesterday Sandisk announced their 8gb MicroSDHC card in Hollywood California. Sandisk was nice enough to fly us out here to celebrate this launch with a massive Block Party featuring 6 Bands. The main act was a band called Linkin Park. Ever heard of them? No. Me neither. lol, j/k. Anyhow, read on to find out how Sandisk Woke Up Out Phones.

The day started off in Birmingham at 6am. I was on the 6:10 after an hour drive from home.

I arrived in LAX at 10:30am PST. I was greeted by Sandisk and we took a shuttle to the Hollywood Renaissance Hotel. I was happy to have been joined by Mike Wong from Sandisk. I’ve know Mike for a while and it was great to see him again.

I arrived at the hotel, check in and hit the streets right away. Check here for pictures of my walk down Hollywood.

Sandisk went all out for this launch. At 3:50pm, I met with my group of media in a meeting room. Here Sandisk gave all of us the Nokia N95 and an 8gb MicroSDHC card. They had helpers wandering around to help us quickly familiarize ourselves with the Nokia N95.

After this, we shuttled over to the Viper Room for food and a press conference/meet and greet with the bands. At this meet and greet, I ran into Howard Chui from Howard Forums and Vincent from Slashgear.

Next up with the Key Club, where I spent most of the evening. (The Roxy, The Viper Room, and the Key Club were all closed for this private party by Sandisk) At the Keyclub, I saw The Crystal Method and Supernatural 1st….

Next up was … uh.. LINKIN PARK. For photos click here, I took over 400.

Linkin Park played a 1 hour set. They thanked everyone at Sandisk and rocked the house. I swear the floor was moving 1 foot vertical as we bounced to the music.

All in all, this was an awesome event and an unforgettable experience for me. I want to thank Sandisk, Lyman PR, and Guerilla Union for making this all possible. A+ Event. More about this event to come. For pictures, visit my personal blog at Chris.Leckness.com.
