It’s finally here!  I had ordered it through Amazon and they told me it would arrive around November 7.  When I went to the Sansa Forums I discovered that it was already in Best Buy.  I promptly cancelled my Amazon order and flew to Best Buy.

1Package

It comes packaged in the typical nearly nonbreakable plastic blister packaging.  I hauled rear tail back home to open it.

With a sharp knife the packaging came off to reveal the Quick Start Guide.

There really isn’t that much in the box.  You get the player, a usb cable, the headphones and a mini CD to install the Best Buy Digital Music Store software.  So how large is this thing?  I bought it because I grew tired of carrying my 2nd generation iPod 20 GB which weighs as much as a brick and is huge.  I was looking for a thin flash player that could accomodate my entire music collection but be ultra portable.

Above you see my wife’s Sansa e260 6 GB player, the Sansa View and my 2nd Gen iPod 20 GB brick.  So it’s not that tiny, is it?  But the screen is a relatively large 2.4″ and the player is very thin.

It really is as thin as a pencil.  It’s a little taller than my iPod, but not nearly as wide.  And it’s very light.

Right now it’s charging.  I can’t wait to try it out.  Stay tuned for my full review…
