Customers Are Empowered to Compare Prices, Browse and Buy – Right from Their Phones

image Ever wonder if you’re getting the best price while out shopping? Now Verizon Wireless customers can actually do something about it. Beginning today, Verizon Wireless, the leading wireless company with the nation’s most reliable wireless voice and data network, will offer mShopper on the company’s Mobile Web 2.0SM service. The next time Verizon Wireless customers are looking at an item in a store, they can pull out their phones, launch mShopper on Mobile Web 2.0 and compare prices, browse and even buy in just a few clicks, right from their phones.

mShopper’s catalog includes more than 9.2 million products from hundreds of quality online merchants – including eLuxury, eBags, Bluefly, Shoes.com, and many more – and the entire mShopper experience was designed from the ground up for simplicity and mobility. For example, mShopper’s patent-pending dual-field entry enables quick, accurate searches when you enter as little as two characters – if a customer wants to compare prices on the high-definition television they are buying, they simply enter the first two letters of a brand and model, and they will get the results in seconds. In addition, customers also have the flexibility to select sizes and colors, essential for products like shoes and apparel, as well as change ship-to addresses and shipping methods with one click.

mShopper has developed new enhanced features that will launch for the first time on Verizon Wireless’ Mobile Web 2.0 service. mShopper’s Browse lets Verizon Wireless customers browse by category and by merchant and the Hot Specials feature lets subscribers sign up to receive premium discounts and special offers direct from mShopper partner merchants.

For just $5.00 monthly access, customers can easily add Mobile Web 2.0 to their handsets at any time by simply launching the browser in the phone, selecting “subscribe” and accepting the terms and conditions. Most mShopper features are free with any Mobile Web 2.0 monthly subscription. Customers who sign up for a $15 V CAST VPak monthly subscription get access to Mobile Web 2.0, plus unlimited airtime for Verizon Wireless’ V CAST service, ESPN MVP and Get It Now services.
