You better believe it Non-USA Folks… There are ways around everything. That sneaky Canadian, Jason Dunn, shows you how…

The world is a big place, full of people who love gadgets. When a company decides to release a piece of technology in a single country rather than a world-wide release, it never stops determined people from getting the technology. Like a modern-day Robin Hood, eBay is the primary conduit for re-distributing technology marvels from the “haves” to the “have-nots” (profit for the eBay seller is the motive, however). The Zune is one such product, released only in the US of A so far. I happen to live in Canada, and can’t buy the Zune in my country, or use much of the online functionality – not without a little creativity that is. Welcome to the International Zune User’s Guide: everything you need to know about being one of those clandestine folks acquiring and using a Zune in a country where Microsoft doesn’t officially support you.

  2. wetworker says:

Good stuff, I had the same problems signing with my windows live account, so I created a Gmail account with a diffrent name and it worked.

Now I enjoy all the podcast that are on the market place, as for buying music online, I prefer buying physical CD’s plus my other sources of music.

  3. Jaxim says:

I can’t imagine that the Zune won’t be going to Canada. The available languages includes French (i.e. Quebec). This Zune is definitely ready for other markets.

  4. Trevor says:

I don’t even know why they didn’t include Canada and the UK in the release. They seem like they would do pretty good. What they need to do is hurry up and fill the stores with a crap load more of the Zune 80 since its Black Friday this week I am sure people will be buying these things up. I might have to try and see if I can find a REALLY cheap Zune 30 to hold me over until I can get a Zune80 Original. But I really hope that people all around the world who like the Zunes can get a chance to get a new one.
