rob Devices are are personal choices and when a new one comes out, how do you decide if it is "the one" for you?  One way is to head over to GottaBeMobile and check out the videos they produce.  Rob Busway has a Kindle unboxing that gives you a first look and some perspective as to what you can expect from this NEW entry from Amazon.  Rob likes the looks, felt the process was relatively seamless and was pleased with the ability to download a few books he had purchased.  He did note that there is a noticeable lag when typing notes, which is a little bothersome but he really likes how quiet it is, which will make it a perfect device to take somewhere when you don’t want to be intrusive.

Check out  Rob’s unboxing here at GottaBeMobile

Now that you saw the unboxing, make sure you take a few minutes to check out Part 2 here where Rob demonstrates the carrying case, gives a quick look at the lag in typing, removes the back for replacing the battery and inserts an SD card as well as  a little navigation to GBM using the Experimental browser over the included Whispernet / Sprint EVDO.

There will be additional videos coming to show you more of the notetaking / keyboarding experience and the overall benefits of this device.  Thanks Rob!
