I really liked the AT&T (Well Cingular on the 8525) 3G start up animation on their devices. I remember my 8525 was hideously loud though! When I swapped ROM’s, it cured the sound level out quite a bit, so I kept it. Well, since I got my Tilt, I am pretty much over the 3G animation. Especially since I do not live in a 3G area! Maybe I would keep it if they had an Edge animation? Nah, it would probably take 5 minutes to play out to make it accurate! LOL

Well, there is an easy registry mod to rid yourself of the AT&T Startup animation. You will need a registry editor like Resco’s, Tweaks2K2, SK Tools, etc. I use Resco’s, but here is what you will need to do:

1) Perform a backup on your device! This should be standard practice anyway.

2) Locate the following registry setting:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\StartupAnimation

3) Change the Enabled DWORD Data to “0″ From “1″ (see photo)

Click Done and that’s it! No more AT&T Startup Animation!
