wallet120 Wow, never saw this one coming! eWallet and FlexWallet have teamed up to offer us the best of both worlds from both of these awesome programs. Not only have they combined with some amazing features, but they have also released eWallet Companion (beta) which is a web based application that will allow you access to your files from any Internet connection!

If you bought any of the two software applications prior to September 17th, 2007, it is free, if not they are offering an upgrade version for $16.95. Not bad. Not great, but not bad… Check out below for more information:

eWallet 6.0 is out and we are really excited about this one. Not only do we have a ton of great features, we also have two incredible surprises to tell you about! I hate to keep people waiting so I’ll jump right in with the surprises first!

eWallet + FlexWallet = The Best of the Best!
Ilium Software and WebIS have teamed up to offer our customers the best electronic wallet ever. WebIS is focusing their efforts on their flagship products and Ilium Software is going to take the electronic wallet helm! In eWallet 6.0 we’ve taken the best of FlexWallet and added those features to eWallet (and there are more FlexWallet features on the way!) We’re also providing FlexWallet owners with the full “eWallet Owner” experience, plus an easy migration path from FlexWallet to eWallet. You can get all the details here! (And if you haven’t tried out WebIS’s products, you need to! Check them out here!)

eWallet Web Companion (beta)
With this release we are also debuting the eWallet Web Companion, a web-based application that lets you access your wallet files from your iPhone, Linux, Mac, Blackberry, Symbian phone, PSP, Amazon Kindle, Nintendo Wii.you name it! If it has a web browser and an internet connection you’re ready to go! Read more about it here.

Also, the beta is already underway, so if you’d like to take part head over to this page and fill out an application to take part!

eWallet 6.0 Features
And of course we have a bunch of excellent new features. You can get the full list here, but here are some highlights!

  • 256-bit AES FIPS Encryption
  • SFTP Synchronization
  • Flex View grid-style card display
  • Attach files to your cards (and encrypt them!)
  • Built-in Importer
  • IE7 Tabbed Browser Support
  • Free card backgrounds
  • Over 200 new icons for available for download

Like I said, it’s a great set of features and we are really excited about this one. We certainly hope you like it. With version 6.0 , we’re taking eWallet straight into the future and ensuring eWallet users everywhere that wherever the future of mobile computing takes them, eWallet will be there for them!

  • I'm glad you found a program that suits your needs Dave. There are a lot of choices out there so everyone can find the program that fits their style of doing things.

As for forums, I like to think we are pretty darn good at responding as well. Heck...we even respond on other people's forums! :)

While we don't have "Ilium" forums, we personally answer each and every email (no form response) within a business day. And if for any reason you need help sooner, we offer live toll-free phone support ( 888-632-5388) M-F 9am to 4pm (8:30pm to 4:30pm when we aren't in the process of releasing a new product!)

You're right that there are some cool things we could do with templates. We're actually working on that now. Even so, you can still rename the fields on cards and design your own templates right now, and with 6.1 you'll have the option to choose field types as well. Not sure if you'll be able to rearrange card layouts, but with the 31 layouts we offer now you have quite a bit of flexibility.

Thanks for the input Dave. Knowing what people like about the competition is a great way for us to gauge what features to focus on as we prepare the next releases.
  • Dave
I stopped using E-Wallet as soon as SPB Wallet came out. IMO SPB Wallet is way ahead of the competition, mostly because of the way they handle templates. I can create my own template, choose where I want fields to show on the cards, and if I update a template, any cards based on that template automatically get updated.

Not to mention the fact that the developers over at SPB actually read their forums and respond!!!
