The iPAQ310, which we should be getting soon to look at here, has is the Mobile Innovation Award Winner 2007 according to Laptop Magazine.
Most GPS navigators are now sensitive enough to pinpoint your location accurately when driving downtown, but only the HP iPAQ 310 Travel Companion ($449) can give you a 3D view of your surroundings, including tall buildings and all sorts of landmarks, in over 40 cities. The result is the immersing effect of driving through that city, whether it’s midtown Manhattan or the SoMa district in San Francisco.
A 600-MHz dual-core processor displays these 3D images with impressive speed on a crisp 4.3-inch touchscreen. When you’re outside of these cities, you still get 3D digital elevation terrain data nationwide, including renderings of hills and valleys but also images of complex overlapping highway intersections.
It’s weird to me that HP is releasing a dedicated GPS device, but hey… it’s got the iPAQ name on it!
